WELCOME TO OAKVILLE SPEED SKATING CLUB

HOME OF THE "OAKVILLE SPEEDSTERS"

We are located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada and skate at the River Oaks Recreation Centre on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. Our Home Rink is a modern Olympic Size Facility with extensive seating/spectator amendities.

The Club offers individuals from 6 to 75 who "feel the need for speed" Several diverse & affordable programs.

Kitchener – Waterloo Pre-Season Meet
October 14 – 15, 2017

36 Oakville speed skaters had a terrific start to the season, skating away with an Astounding Ten Medals, and Top Six placements for another seven skaters.

Hard earned Top Six placements were secured by Alina Santos, Sherise Gratton, Helios He, Daniel Kim, Aveline Desousa, Marcelo Giansante, and Ryder Taylor.

Congratulations to Siddharth Khanna and Kieran Bovingdon who skated their 500m distance under 60 seconds for the first time:  Siddharth – 58.91 seconds, Kieran – 55.75 seconds.  This was also Kieran’s first time competing in a Short Track Competition.

Congratulations also goes to Frank Feng who skated his 500m distance under 50 seconds for the first time in K-W – 49.49 seconds.

Cyprien Petiteville Bettered his personal best 1500m time  by an Incredible 16.43 seconds- Leading start to finish without any other Skater assistance whatsoever!

Great Effort by Sophia Qunitero who competed in her first Competition.  Well Done Sophie!!!!
